"The Lovers of Ancona" at Petőfi Theater Veszprém

Italy, Ancona, an intoxicating spring, love, spicy humor, and beautiful, timeless Italian melodies. The authentic Mediterranean atmosphere, combined with tangled love stories, creates a captivating performance for the audience. Don Tomao lives in Ancona, a man raising his stuttering daughter—who has reached marriable age—on his own, yet he is still a master of seduction, along with her aging, amorous, flighty maid. Next door lives a lonely innkeeper who serves the worst coffee in the neighborhood, followed by a coffee break while eyeing up her own restaurant. The others arrive to join them: the multiply disadvantaged traveling musician, the world-weary millionaire, the saintly sage, whose sensitive heart beats beneath his monk’s robe, and the spirited Hungarian girl, who is searching for the father of her unborn child in the Italian countryside. What will come of this? Everything will be revealed during our entertaining theatrical journey…
