Füredi Szüret – Autumn Wine Festival with a spectacular parade!
Overview
The Füredi Szüret is Balatonfüred's iconic autumn festival, which has been celebrating the town's wine culture for several years. The aim of the three-day event is to ensure that the title of "international city of grapes and wine" is not just a nominal title, but that visitors can enjoy a truly rich cultural and gastronomic experience.
Program and participation information
The highlight of the festival is the parade, which starts at St. Stephen's Square and proceeds to the Kisfaludy stage. The parade features wine knights, stork dancers, flag wavers, folk dance groups, horsemen, cowboys, and traditional groups. Wine cellars await visitors along the route, and the traditional grape harvest festival and presentation of the Wine Knights will also take place on the shore.
The Tagore Garden will host a weekend-long craft fair, folk playground, concerts, and a food court will ensure a great atmosphere. The event is family-friendly, so both children and adults will find programs that interest them.
Part of the festival is the popular "Balatonfüred Süteménye" competition, which offers creative challenges for several age groups. In addition to tasting delicacies, the competition also serves a charitable purpose.
