Feels Like Home

Rita (Rozi Lovas) was kidnapped from one day to the next. She regains consciousness in the Árpád family’s home, where they claim she is Szilvi, the family’s long-lost daughter. Although Rita is certain of her own identity, if she wants to stay alive, she is forced to take on the role of Szilvi. Based on a screenplay by Attila Veres, the film is both a tense thriller and a gripping social parable.

Gábor Holtai’s directorial debut won an award at Sitges, Europe’s most prestigious genre film festival, and nearly 300,000 people saw it in Hungarian theaters, making it the most-watched Hungarian thriller produced since the fall of communism.
