Unusual stories, in unusual places, on unusual topics—during fall break.

Famous—and at the same time infamous—Veszprém Dungeon operated right in the heart of the city until 2003, under the regional court, partly in the belly of the hill.

Revolutionaries, political prisoners, bandits, and even ordinary people were held captive there. While exploring the family history, visitors can learn about interesting local criminal cases and the stories of the prison’s inmates.

Based on the information and historical sources hidden within the exhibition, visitors can discover for themselves how each investigation unfolded, and what life was like within prison walls.

Join us on an exciting journey through time, where you can explore the past in a fun way!

Location: Dungeon Visitor Center (8 Jókai Street, Veszprém)

Duration: 120 minutes

Program fee: a valid admission ticket to the exhibition + 1,000 HUF per person for a supplementary ticket

The investigation is led by: Szilvia Czupper, retired police colonel
