On March 21, downtown Veszprém will transform into a massive community gathering space where, in a single day, we will come together to make history. Challenge Day is a highlight of the Veszprém–Balaton European Capital of Sport 2026 program series. On that day, we will attempt to break 4 Guinness World Records! This is a challenge that will require the simultaneous movement of hundreds, even thousands, of participants.

Side events
Although Challenge Day on March 21 is primarily about gauging the strength of the community, the accompanying events will give everyone the opportunity to individually test their knowledgein various sports. In addition, star athletes who have stood on different levels of the Olympic podium, as well as well-known players from popular team sports, are rushing to Veszprém on this day to take part in breaking records, and so that anyone can try to beat them in a one-on-one challenge.
Come on, try to beat Zoli Gera with your ball on thegiant darts board, find out if you’re faster than Super Levin, or if your reflexes are better than those of Gergely Siklósi, the Olympic champion from Paris! You can also meet Olympic silver medalist wrestler Viktor Lőrincz, Olympic silver medalist Miklós Ungvári and Olympic bronze medalist Éva Csernoviczki, Attila Katus, a six-time world champion, as well as Veszprém legend Nándor Fazekas.
