This May, Gizella Days return to Veszprém, the city’s largest multidisciplinary arts festival, featuring concerts for more than a week between May 4 and May 10, bringing the city center to life for over a week with concerts, exhibitions, and family programs.

3. Get a theater pass

In Kabóca Puppet Theater and Pannon Várszínház performances, there is something for every age group. The repertoire ranges from puppet shows, through lighthearted family plays, all the way to theatrical evenings for adults— —making it an ideal choice for both early-evening entertainment and weekend family outings. 

4. Spend a whole day at an adventure park

Sobri Jóska Adventure Park reopened its doors this spring, offering rope courses, slide facilities, and all-day programs await adventure seekers. BalatoniBob in Balatonfűzfő also guarantees adrenaline and shared experiences, where you can spice up your plans with your family or friends. 

5. Celebrate spring at a real May Day festival

The May 1st events bring the classic May Day atmosphere: music, street food, and community activities at multiple venues. If you’re looking for an event with entertaining activities for the whole family, choose Gyárkert May Day Festival, which is a must-have on your spring bucket list: a carousel, bumper cars, a shooting gallery, a trampoline, bungee jumping, a LEGO playhouse, and performances await the little ones and the young-at-heart adults. 

6. Make the most of your spring days

Spring means good weather, which can only mean one thing: even more outdoor activity! NN Ultrabalaton will take place between April 23 and 26: Hungary’s largest public running event, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. 209 kilometers, a single lap around Lake Balaton, which you can complete either by running or cycling— but it’s also a great way to spend your time as a spectator if you’re visiting Lake Balaton.
