The model farm of the Balaton Uplands National Park. A slice of rural life, nature, and nostalgia. Salföld Farm: Salföld is located at the gateway to the Kál Basin, in the heart of the Balaton Uplands National Park, with significant geological, botanical and folk architectural monuments. The national park administration established Salföld Farm on the outskirts of the village in 1997, where it presents the life of a working farm and native Hungarian domestic animal breeds. The farm's constantly renewed herb and medicinal plant garden offers visitors a fragrant experience. Using several of our senses—sight, smell, touch, and taste— we can learn about medicinal plants, the effects of "miracle herbs" and how they are used. Kids can enjoy a playground that blends in with the landscape.

Visitors can get up close and personal with native Hungarian domestic animals, feed them, learn about them at the information boards by the pens, and presentation boards await those interested.

The exhibition hall "Racka-terem" welcomes visitors with renewed exhibitions, which include a section of the highly popular photo exhibition entitled "Regényes" Park.
You can learn about everyday objects from times gone by and see interesting animals, such as cattle, buffalo, or even hold the curved horns of a Hortobágy racka sheep in your hands.

The Manor is at your disposal for any group activities, excursions, team building events or other requests.

Among our equestrian services, you will still find the approximately 1-hour ride, which takes you along a beautiful shady forest road to the ruins of a 13th-century Pauline monastery. An excellent pastime for young and old alike. While sitting in the saddle, you can admire the landscape of the Kál Basin, and kids can get to know the farm and the beauty of loving horses.

The farm also offers the opportunity to buy drinks, snacks, and coffee.
