The Veszprém County Archives of the Hungarian National Archives (abbreviated as: Veszprém Archives) is one of the region’s most important historical and cultural collections. The institution preserves the centuries-old archival records of Veszprém County and the surrounding region, including medieval charters (the oldest dating from 1214), pre-World War II documents, maps, and family archives. Its mission is to preserve, organize, catalog, and make these treasures accessible in a searchable format. It also organizes regular professional events, research workshops, open house days, and public education programs.
