What will be built with this grant? A 20×12-meter basketball court is being built at the sports complex on Balaton Street. Construction has already begun and is expected to be completed in the first half of July. Active Gyenesdiás The goal of this project is to provide even more opportunities for locals to engage in recreational sports, strengthen the community, and create a new community space for fans of team sports. Free sports programs await those interested. Following the opening of the new court: 15 free basketball training sessions 15 free foot tennis lessons The sessions are open to everyone; we warmly welcome both kids and adults. Let’s get moving together and build an even more active community in Gyenesdiás! Introduction

Gyenesdiás is a family-friendly resort village on the western shore of Lake Balaton, where beach life, gastronomy, and active recreation come together. Its award-winning beaches, cultural and sports programs, and the hiking trails of the Keszthely Hills offer a variety of experiences.

Location & Accessibility

The settlement is located on the western shore of Lake Balaton, near Keszthely, and is easily accessible by car on Route 71. It has two stops on the Balatonszentgyörgy-Keszthely-Tapolca railway line (Gyenesdiás, Alsógyenes), and buses also stop at Felsőgyenes on Faludi Street off the main road.
