Farmers' Market and Event Space Gyenesdiás
Introduction
Every weekend during the season and on weekdays in summer, a variety of dishes await you among the tree houses. Smoked and grilled fish, fried meats, marrow toast, chimney cake, goat cheese fritters and gourmet salads, homemade sauces and natural fruit juices complete the selection.
Opening hours: from mid-March to the end of September, from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and from June to August, from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. The peak market period is from 12:00 to 20:00 on Saturday , with live music on Saturday evenings in the summer from 18:00.
It is also open during major local events, from the start to the end of the event each day. The Seasonal Market Shopping Day welcomes local producers and tasters on the last Friday of every month. Fresh, live fish is currently unavailable due to fishing regulations affecting Lake Balaton.
Location & Accessibility
The market square is located at the end of Madách Street, which leads to Diás Beach, near the parking lot, a few steps from Gyenesdiás railway station. If you are arriving by bus, it is about a 15-20 minute walk from the bus stops on Route 71.
