Introduction
Babel Camp is a unique artistic and social space located on the shores of Lake Balaton in Balatonboglár, in a picturesque setting. The venue serves as a creative workshop, festival venue, exhibition space, and cultural meeting place.
Babel Camp is primarily an artistic creative camp reserved for invited artists and members, as well as their families. Babel Camp's programs are open to the general public under certain conditions, but Babel Camp is not an open restaurant or entertainment venue.
The area has several functional units: an outdoor stage, a ruin pub, an event hall, cellar club, exhibition space, rehearsal rooms, studios, apartments, hostel, gastronomic units, and a 5-hectare park. The program includes concerts, performances, film screenings, dance workshops, gastronomic and cultural events, master classes, talent development training, and international art projects.
Our goal is to represent and showcase the values of cultural diversity through the arts. Participants of the art camps, together with the invited artists and the Babel Camp community, inspire and motivate their audiences while supporting access to arts and cultural education for all generations. They foster intercultural encounters, active connections between artists and their audiences, the building of professional and cultural bridges, creative collaboration, shared play, and meaningful personal experiences.
