Winter Tihany Trail: running through the hills, gorges, and lookout points of the peninsula

❄️ Winter Tihany Trail 2026 leads along the most challenging trails of the peninsula, where the winter scenery of Lake Balaton complements the challenge. The aim of the race is to allow cross-country runners and Nordic walking enthusiasts to test their strength on a varied, technical course.

🌍 Runners can choose between 5, 10 and 15 km races, there is no time limit, and everyone is welcome. The course is rocky and steep, but offers a breathtaking panorama – a real treat for cross-country runners!

📍 Location: Tihany, competition center in the Benedictine School (73 Csokonai Street)

🎯 Races:

Tihany Trail – 15 km / +406 m

Summit Challenge – 10 km / +264 m

Nordic Walking Peak Climb – 10 km / +264 m

BodyBox Ice Trail – 5 km / +132 m

🎟️ Registration: pre-registration from October 22, 2025 to January 15, 2026 and on site

💳 Fees: HUF 14,000-20,000 (depending on the date of registration, registration without a medal is HUF 10,000 in all cases)

💰 Discounts: for residents of Tihany, Tihany Cross participants, and group registrants in the case of pre-registration

🎁 The fee includes: finisher's medal, chip timing, refreshments, hot food, medical services

👕 Custom technical running shirt: can be ordered separately until December 20 (17,000 HUF)

🏅 Prizes: age group 1st-3rd place winners by gender

🐕 Running with dogs: not permitted
