Richárd Varga is a teacher, songwriter, and performer.
His first album, titled 101, was released in 2014, followed by the EPs Otthon in 2022 and GAMMA in 2025. Of course, numerous songs were also written during the periods between these releases, which were incorporated into the repertoires of Ricsi’s bands, Godot Workshop and Valami Ulpius, . In September 2023, Ricsi’s first collection of poetry, titled Súlyok repülése (The Flight of Weights), was also published. Gergő Balla, frontman of the band Platon Karataev, wrote the following about the book:
"This volume pays attention: to itself and to others—including humanity. It pays attention to its surroundings and to what lies beyond them. The Flight of Weights is a poetic, human journey—that of a person who not only walks this path but also lives it to the fullest."
At the author’s evening, Ricsi will perform a selection of songs he wrote over the past ten years, but of course you’ll also hear poems and slam poetry from him.
