Lecture: Attila Szelestey, general manager of Szelestei Arboretum

"In my presentation, I will talk about the families who created the park, the Szelesteys, the Horváths of Szentgyörgy, the Festetics family, and the Baich family. Particular emphasis is placed on the latter two, who were the actual creators of the garden that can be seen today. These families lived their lives in the shade of the trees of Szeleste for a longer or shorter period of time, and, although at different depths, they took root in the soil shared with these trees. In the second half of my presentation, I will talk a little about the professionals who once worked in the garden, and I will also mention the arboretum.
