Potato is one of our vegetables with the highest nutritional value. Native to South America, potatoes are commonly eaten in Hungary boiled, baked, fried, and especially as a side dish, in stews, and in soups. In folk medicine, they have been used raw externally for centuries, mainly for superficial wounds, inflammations, and headaches.
The main attraction of Gyenesdiás Potato Day event is a potato dish cooking competition held on an open flame at the venue, and after judging, you can even taste the dishes.
The event features a colorful program, concerts, potato specialties, entertainment shows, and a fair.
This special program in Gyenesdiás offers a wonderful getaway for families, groups of friends, and kids.
