These stories bring the landscape to life, and the stones of the past begin to whisper if we know what to listen for. Klára Tokody spent many years compiling the most beautiful legends of Lake Balaton, which you can now discover in Fonyód through a unique, six-station fairy-tale trail. This adventure not only offers an unforgettable experience for kids but also transports adults back to the world of legends.

As you walk through the fairy-tale forest, you’ll not only learn about the legends, but through various activities, kids will learn even more about the area’s points of interest. What’s more, by solving puzzles related to the secret codes, they can even discover a secret box. (Similar to geocaches, the box contains small gifts, one of which visitors may take if they place a similar gift inside.) We therefore ask our explorers to come prepared. This could be a small toy figure, the inside of a Kinder egg, or any other little trinket that interests kids.)
