Nordic walking is a dynamic form of walking performed with specialized poles. Combined with active arm movements, it engages the entire body. Before starting regular practice, it is important to learn and understand the specific elements of this form of movement, as this makes it easier for Nordic walking to become an lifestyle. During the basic courses, participants become familiar with the equipment, the basics of pole handling and arm movement, and learn to coordinate the movements of their legs and arms. In the follow-up sessions, we further refine the acquired basics during practice sessions. When learning and practicing Nordic walking, special attention is given to warm-up, refining continuous movement technique, and cool-down, so that the activity is as safe and enjoyable as possible. The sessions also provide a social experience, as walking together has a motivating and sustaining effect. I will provide the Nordic walking poles required for participation to everyone interested. Dress in layers appropriate for the season, wear walking shoes, and bring something to drink! Basic courses last 3 hours, and practice sessions last 2 hours.

Advance registration is required for all sessions; the link will always be available at https://www.facebook.com/orsettipeterkulturaliskozpont/.
