Backyard Grass Pitch

A trailer, a bench, a viewing platform, a fire pit, a bowling alley—all in one exhibition where you’ll even be able to enjoy a smoke.

However, our temporary exhibition aims to offer more than just a recreation of the authentic atmosphere of village soccer fields: the ethnography of soccer, soccer anthropology, sociological insights, and an analysis of the relationship between sport, the individual, the community, and identity. 

It also integrates material from the exhibition that debuted in 2022 at Kazinczy Ferenc  Museum in Sátoraljaújhely, the exhibition opening in Veszprém in the summer of 2026 features a wealth of regional content, and expanded with the results of our recent collections from the Bakony Hills and the Balaton Uplands, awaits the public.
