On the occasion of Museum Night, literary historian Mihály Praznovszky’s lecture will bring to life the unique connection between gastronomy, literature, and everyday life. The “herb guide” to gastronomy and the author’s other “herb guides” unfold exciting stories about food, drinks, flavors, and our cultural memories associated with them. The presentation offers a glimpse into how the experience of eating becomes a source of literary inspiration, a social event, or even a part of our identity. With the help of old recipes, anecdotes, writers’ confessions, and cultural curiosities help evoke the past and atmosphere of Hungarian gastronomy. Throughout the evening, a unique dialogue between the world of flavors and literature awaits those interested.
