Helikon is the organizing and implementing unit of the Helikoni Celebrations in Keszthely, one of the largest traditional cultural event for secondary school students.
The Helikon Festivities are a biennial cultural showcase with a history dating back more than two hundred years, where secondary school students can showcase their talents in various artistic disciplines. The aim of the event is to create value, to nurture talent, and to promote cultural exchange.
The organizing unit is responsible for coordinating the programs, cooperating with participating institutions, and handling the professional and logistical aspects of the event. The public cultural and educational institutions of Keszthely play a prominent role in Helikon's work, as well as volunteers and professional partners who help to make the event happen.

What is Helikon?
Helikon is the name of the Helikoni Celebrations, a large traditional cultural festival for secondary schools held every two years in Keszthely. The aim of the event is to provide secondary school students with an opportunity to showcase their skills in various artistic disciplines within an organized framework.in various artistic fields, in the form of a competition before a professional jury. The history of Helikon dates back nearly two hundred years: its founder was Count György Festetics, who organized the first Helikon celebrations in Keszthely in 1817. The event was interrupted several times throughout history, then revived, and in its current form it was established after the change of regime. Today, Helikon is a series of events that includes several artistic categories and is aimed at secondary school students from across the Danube. a series of events covering several artistic categories, which is based on institutional cooperation, the work of volunteers and professional organization. Helikon is closely linked to the cultural life of the city of Keszthely and plays an important role in supporting the cultural involvement of young people.nbsp;
