Károly Horváth, known by his stage name Charlie, is one of the most distinctive performers in Hungarian pop music. His musical career began in the 1970s, first as a member of the band Generál, then he became nationally known during his solo career. He really broke through in the 1990s with hits such as "Jég dupla whiskyvel" (Ice with Double Whiskey), "Az légy, aki vagy" (Be Who You Are) and "Mennyből az angyal" (Angel from Heaven).

Charlie's style is unique: he combines elements of jazz, soul, blues, and funk with Hungarian lyrics, which his husky, emotional voice makes inimitable. His performances are always authentic, deeply human, and characterized by his humility towards music. He performs with a live band at his concerts, where instrumental skill and improvisation also play a prominent role.
