Movie Club: Long Good Thursday movie, entertainment AGÓRA Veszprém Cultural Center Finnish comedy with subtitles, 98 minutes, 2024 His sons want to put him in a nursing home, but the grumpy old man doesn’t want to spend the rest of his life in an institution, so he runs away. While shopping at a grocery store, an irresistibly alluring scent—a mixture of chainsaw oil, pine bark and sawdust—shakes him out of his grumpy mood. The scent belongs to a free-spirited woman named Saimi. Her words, her gaze, and her touch awaken long-forgotten feelings in him and shed light on the loneliness of a man who has been a widower for a long time. Through family gatherings, absurd misunderstandings, moonlit baths, and sleepless nights, we come to realize that the power of love can penetrate even the oldest flannel. (ADS Service)

Pécs Ballet: Carmen dance, entertainment, theater AGÓRA Veszprém Cultural Center Carmen is a symbol of freedom. Her story is a drama of unquenchable wild love. "Carmen's story, the extreme emotional world of the characters, and Bizet's music are very powerful and inspiring. For me, the main inspiration comes from the sharp transitions in the story and the music. I can relate to the unpredictability and suddenness of the characters, which stems from their emotional intensity. How can you go from an idyllic state of calm to the brink of madness in an instant?"
