"Carmen's story, the extreme emotional world of the characters, and Bizet's music are very powerful and inspiring. For me, the main inspiration comes from the sharp transitions in the story and the music. I can relate to the unpredictability and suddenness of the characters, which stems from their emotional intensity. How can you go from an idyllic state of calm to the brink of madness in an instant?"
