European Region of Sport 2026: we hosted the jury members of the ACES Europe Association in the Veszprém-Balaton region Veszprém is joining forces with the Balaton region to compete for the title of European Region of Sport 2026. One of the most important steps on the road to this prestigious recognition was the visit of the ACES Europe international jury, during which the delegation toured the region's most important sports venues and got to know the communities, experts, and decision-makers behind the bid.

Our short film entered in the ACES Europe Film Award competition Veszprém and the Bakony–Balaton region have entered an inspiring short film in the ACES Europe 2025 international video competition. The film focuses on the personal story of Botond Birnbauer, a para swimmer from Veszprém, who authentically represents the community-building and quality-of-life-improving power of sport. The aim of the entry is to show that the joy of movement and access to sport are valuable to everyone.
