Are you also a musician? Join us on our journey through life, from the violin workshop operating in Auer Lipót's childhood home to the Jewish funeral home!

Violinist, teacher, and composer Lipót Auer gained worldwide fame starting from Veszprém, where he was born., which has been honoring his pioneering work with a festival bearing his name since 2015.

With musical accompaniment, we recall the giants of modern violin music in Veszprém, the city's vibrant musical life, the years spent by the young Lipót in Veszprém, his attempts to spread his wings in the countryside, Budapest, and Transylvania, and then his successes in Europe, St. Petersburg, and America. Violin maker Elemér Sümegi invites us into his workshop and tells us everything about Auer's favorite instrument, the Stradivarius. The Jewish community of Veszprémwith a walk through the Jewish cemetery and mortuary, which preserve the earthly remains of Auer's parents.
