The exhibition’s abstract yet vivid images invite viewers on a dreamlike journey to the boundaries of reality and imagination. Light, image, and meaning create the reality we perceive; but where does reality end and imagination begin?
The images create a meditative, almost sensory, transitional space in which the viewer is an active participant, becoming an observer of their own perceptions. Approaching the subject from the perspective of photography, you arrive at the questions posed by Yves Bonnefoy’s philosophy of images: does art exist in photography, where is the human being behind the images he creates, and what is reality? Images that appeal to the senses convey impressions rather than information; they open doors within ourselves.
Kata Varju, photographer and therapist—she has been exploring the mysteries of the human soul for 25 years, and now we can get a glimpse of this, condensed into a single space.
