National Restaurant Week 2025

MORE THAN 200 RESTAURANTS, INCLUDING 15 MICHELIN-RECOMMENDED ONES, PRESENT THE BEST OF THEIR CUISINE OVER 18 DAYS

Dining at a truly high-quality restaurant is usually expensive, except during National Restaurant Week.

During the 18-day period of the National Restaurant Week autumn event, between October 2 and 19, the best Hungarian restaurants will offer multi-course menus at fixed prices. Top-rated restaurants will offer menus starting at 6,900 HUF, premium restaurants at 8,900 HUF, while those in the exclusive category offer their special menus with service from HUF 10,900. Another interesting feature of the event is that some participating restaurants offer a favorable supplementary surcharge.

Many of the more than 200 participating restaurants are listed in Hungarian gastronomic publications as among the top 100. The list includes 15 restaurants with Michelin recommendations, as well as those awarded Bib Gourmand status. These excellent and renowned restaurants all prepare their best dishes, with menus composed of their most popular and most special dishes, which are offered to the general public at affordable, fixed prices.prices.

Not only do we find particularly rare and special dishes among the dishes, but also among the ingredients used in the dishes: in addition to Hungarian beef, we can choose Namibian zebu, mouflon, marrowbone, rabbit leg, suckling pig, or Burgundy snails. Seafood delicacies are also a must on the menu: you can try lobster, tiger prawns, yellow kingfish, red tuna steak, and even frog legs. Lovers of traditional gourmet dishes will find many variations of truffles, duck breast, and Tatar beefsteak on the menus. In keeping with the traditions of the event, restaurants prepare representative dishesto cater to guests with special dietary requirements. The menus will also include gluten-free, lactose-free, sugar-free, vegetarian, and vegan dishes. Fans of international cuisine can choose from Lebanese, Indian, Japanese, Georgian, Mexican, Moroccan, and many other national cuisines, as well as traditional Hungarian restaurants among the participants.

The planned menu for each restaurant can be viewed on the event's website when making a reservation, so everyone can choose according to their favorite culinary traditions: Hungarian, French, Moroccan, American, Italian, Mexican, and Asian cuisine, as well as a number of fusion-based menus. The colorful and tasty selection guarantees that meat lovers, vegetarians, and those with food allergies are guaranteed to find something to their liking and to their taste.
