Mommy's Adventure / Field Trip to Salföld Farm

Meeting point: Salföld parking lot on Petőfi Street. Coordinates: 46°49'54.3"N 17°33'04.6"From there, we’ll take a walk together to the Csönge Hill lookout point, stopping by the Salföld farmstead along the way. The farm was established in 1997 by the Balaton Uplands National Park Administration. It showcases the life of a working farm and native Hungarian livestock breeds.

The Manor’s constantly renewing herb and medicinal plant garden offers fragrant experiences to visitors. By engaging multiple senses—sight, smell, touch, and taste— you can learn about medicinal plants, the effects of these “miracle herbs,” and how to use them. A playground that blends into the landscape awaits the kids.

Visitors can get up close and personal with native Hungarian domestic animal breeds, feed them, and explore the informational and display boards at the pens. After a leisurely stroll through the farm, we’ll take a different route (in a loop) back to the cars.    🥾 Total length of the walk: 2.2 km
