The "EMLÉKÉP" exhibition presents the objects and history of the city of Veszprém through time.
We will talk about archaeological history as seen through artifacts, as well as the city's real memories, its communal history, and personal history through the examples of individuals and heroes.
Program overview
But what is "EMLÉKGÉP"? The word "EMLÉKÉP" was coined by programmer Zsolt Vardy, the former (handsome, "museum piece" ) social networking portal.
We can look for points of connection between memories, and map out their network. A connection point could be, for example, that it happened at the same time or in the same place, or precisely because of this or that. Memories can be connected to each other in terms of time, space, type of memory, or shared memories of the participants. In addition, there is also a special way. When we read a memory, our own memories may come to mind: This reminds me of... The memory described on the given memory page is linked to the previous memory, further expanding the network of connections between memories [...] whether we remember a past event depends at least as much on the events of the present as on those of the past. The goal is to create a system that helps us remember past events and share them with others. This is the memory machine.
The aim of the Dezső Laczkó Museum is to connect the exhibited objects, complementing each other, forming a chain due to their historical significance. We recommend our exhibition to those who have experienced the history of the city, those who feel nostalgic when they see an exhibited object, and those who are driven by their ancestors' stories about "the old days" drive them to explore Veszprém.
