Long Live May 1st – Skateboard Ride 2026

Some people celebrate May Day.
We’ve been rolling since 1990.

This isn’t just an event.
It’s a comeback.

The skateboarding scene in Veszprém is picking up steam again—and now you can be part of it from the very beginning.

 WHAT'S IN STORE FOR US?

• group rides in Veszprém
• open to beginners—no prior knowledge required
• equipment available for testing (boards, balance bikes)
• mini track / obstacles (in progress)
• a sense of community that has been sorely missed

 THIS IS NOT JUST ONE DAY

This day is part of a series.

The goal:
 Rebuild the local skateboarding community
 get young people moving
 and to show that there is life in Veszprém even outside the track

 goal: community building, exercise, a healthy lifestyle
 open to all age groups
 with special attention to young people & beginners

• if you've never stood on a board before (we'll practice weekly beforehand!)
• if you used to skate and are coming back
• if you just want to see what this is all about
• if you bring your kid

This is not a competition.
This is not a demonstration.

This is a joint start.

1. BALATONALMÁDI – SPORTS FIELD (We’ll ride down from Veszprém on the official bike path!)

 
MEETING POINT:
FOR NEWCOMERS: at the fountain on Kossuth Street starting at 11 a.m.
FOR RETURNEES: head to the usual Marso parking lot and meet there
