KVSZK Sports Challenge – From the Throw to the Backhand

Through our project titled “KVSZK Sports Challenge – From the Throw to the Backhand”, we have envisioned a series of programs spanning the 2026 calendar year that builds on the community-building and lifestyle-shaping power of sports. Our goal is to get high school students in Keszthely—students from Vajda, VSZK, Asbóth, Közgáz, and Premontrei— taken out of their everyday routines and shown that physical activity isn’t just about competition, but also about shared experiences. The backbone of the program is a three-stage cup series intended exclusively for amateurs. We will kick off the series on September 15, 2026, with the 1st Athletics Throwing Competition, where, as part of the Németh Pál Memorial Competition, students can try their hand at shot putting and javelin throw on the KVSZK grass field. In early October, the focus will be on teamwork: on October 6–7, we’ll host the City Amateur Basketball and Volleyball Cup, where the spirit of fair play will guide the 4-on-4, and 5-on-5 matches guided by the spirit of fair play. We’ll wrap up the series on November 9 with an exciting Table Tennis Tournament, which we’ll continue to hold through the end of 2026 in accordance with the call.
