A Krúdy Evening – A journey into Sindbad's turn-of-the-century world with old Vendelin from Vonyarc

Gyula Krúdy's stories are not only about history, but also about fragrances and moods. They are memories of a slow life, a laid table, good wine, conversation, and reminiscence. On this evening, we will evoke Sindbad's dreamy, nostalgic world: Lake Balaton, warmth, and deep, rich flavors.

The atmosphere of the evening is slow, intense and conducive to conversation – just as Krúdy would have wanted.

The evening is made even more special by the participation of Árpád Besenczi, winner of the Jászai Mari Award for theater arts, who will read excerpts from Gyula Krúdy's works, rich in gastronomic motifs. The novella excerpts read between courses further deepen the experience and evoke that special, nostalgic world where these and the stories melt into a single delicate whole.
