House of Arts Veszprém: Birthday Discussion

House of Arts Veszprém—since its reestablishment— has been an integral part of the cultural life of the country, the region, and the city since 1996 / for 30 years. Countless interesting exhibitions, conferences, professional programs, memorable author-reader meetings, book launches, highly successful cultural events, and study trips are associated with the institution’s name.

Here are just a few examples, by no means an exhaustive list: Veszprém Spring Exhibitions, the Orbis Pictus exhibition, the Dokumentum exhibitions, solo exhibitions by Jenő Barcsay, Endre Kovács, Nándor Szilvásy, Josef Albers, Bernat Venet, and Arnulf Rainer, Veszprém Book Festival Weeks, Veszprém Anno publications, Books from Vár Ucca 17, and later Vár Ucca Műhely journal and books, study trips to the Venice Biennale of Fine Arts, “Night of Museums” programs, countless events as part of the Veszprém-Balaton European Capital of Culture 2023 program year, and the list goes on.
