The Gyárkert May Day celebration is back this year, full of excitement and creativity!
The merry-go-round, the carousel, the bouncy castle, and of course cold drinks and delicious food are essential elements of May Day celebrations. But Gyárkert doesn’t stop at these classic experiences! On May 1, the traditional May Day atmosphere will be enhanced with even more creative and exciting programs.
Program Overview
Last year, Veszprém’s favorite outdoor event venue made a highly successful debut, Gyárkert, as the venue for the city’s May Day celebration.
A year has passed, and May 1st is knocking on the door again. The operators of Gyárkert didn’t leave it to chance this year either, ensuring that on May Day, both children and adultstruly entertaining programs for them in the city center.
Thursday, the Gyárkert opens its gates at 10 a.m. and welcomes visitors until 8 p.m.
The carousel, bumper cars, shooting gallery, and bouncy castle will be part of the lineup again this year, and local restaurants will provide cold refreshments and delicious snacks.
A new attraction for adrenaline junkies will be bungee jumping, and the Gyárkert will also feature a game that captivates everyone, regardless of age - Creative and speed-building competitions in the LEGO playhouse, figure and set swapping await visitors.
The organizers haven’t forgotten about cultural programs either; from 11:00 a.m. 2:00 PM, and 4:00 PM, artists from the Kabóca Puppet Theater will take the stage László Vitész Finds a Home and their children’s play titled Kőleves.
The theater performance—just like admission to the Gyárkert—is free at the festival!
