Trattoria Il Lago welcomes its guests to another special gastronomic evening on October 10, where Primitivo will take center stage – Puglia's iconic grape variety, which has conquered the wine world with its rich, spicy, and deep character.
This evening is not just a dinner: it's an opportunity to get to know the diverse face of Primitivo, from lighter styles to fuller-bodied, mature wines. Behind the wines are stories, vineyards, and winemaking philosophies, which we can hear about firsthand from our experts.
The two hosts of the evening:
-Géza Polgár, winemaker at Vinox, who has been experimenting with Italian wines for years and always explains the wines in a clear and yet with professional thoroughness about the wines. -Massimo Novara (Fantini), a young and passionate figure in the contemporary Italian wine world. He comes to us from the Milan area, with more than 15 years of experience behind him. Thanks to his background as a sommelier, he has a particularly keen eye for pairing wine and food, and he believes that every wine tells a story, from the vineyard to the bottle.This evening offers a unique opportunity: it is a rare opportunity for our guests to taste such a wide range of high-quality Primitivo wines under the guidance of an Italian winemaker.

The evening is not only a culinary experience, but also a gastronomic journey where guests can experience how wines and dishes complement each other.

-Fish grissini – mascarpone fish cream, sun-dried tomatoes, candied rosemary (olive crumbs)
-Beef carpaccio – olive oil ice cream, fresh fruit, garlic sable chips
-Beef consommé – beef, parmesan famblé, vegetables, pepper sauce, homemade pasta
-Filet mignon polenta – fig chutney, crispy chicory, truffle polenta -Lamb chops with eggplant and tomato gratin – balsamic vinegar reduction, eggplant gratin, onion "koc" -Tonka bean mousse with lime pearl almond slices
