If you already know everything—or want to know everything—about Cat City, then you should visit Balatonkenese Cultural Center on November 13.
First released in 1986, Cat City has since become a true cult classic—a film that generations have grown up with, with grandchildren and grandparents alike laughing at its jokes. Produced at the Pannonia Film Studio, this animated film (directed by Béla Ternovszky, screenplay by József Nepp, music by Tamás Deák) was screened not only in Hungary but also, among other places, in the United States, Canada, the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, and France.
On November 13, as part of the 12th National Animation Festival, the 40-year-old film Cat City will take center stage at Balatonkenese Cultural Center. At 3:30 p.m., you’ll have the opportunity to listen to a conversation with Béla Ternovszky, a Kossuth and Balázs Béla Award-winning animation director, The screening of Cat City begins at 5:00 p.m., and at 7:00 p.m., you can test your knowledge in a quiz.
We are accepting registrations for the Cat City quiz from teams of 2–5 people at the [email protected]. The programs are free.
