The 2026 Boglár Harvest Festival is all about communities, acceptance, and experiences
The 2026 Boglár Harvest Festival proves once again that one of Lake Balaton’s largest free family festivals is not just about entertainment, but also about bringing communities together, fostering acceptance, and taking responsibility for one another. The active presence of people with disabilities and the organizations that support them is one of the festival’s most important messages this year: Together, we can build communities that are more open, more inclusive, and more appreciative of each other’s values.
As a new initiative, starting in 2026, one profession and one community will be highlighted each day.

On August 22, with the cooperation of Caireen Foundation, twelve national civil society and advocacy organizations will arrive in Balatonboglár.
Through interactive, thought-provoking programs, visitors can learn about the daily lives of people with disabilities, the work of various organizations, and the values that promote acceptance, equal opportunity, and a more accessible society. Among the presenters are, among others, an organization representing people with visual and hearing impairments, communities that support people with autism, as well as foundations that work day in and day out to promote social inclusion.
From August 19–23, with a 52-year history, the festival welcomes visitors for the 49th time in Balatonboglár, at Platán Beach: Boglár Harvest Festival, one of Hungary’s oldest and most popular family-friendly wine, gastronomy, and cultural festivals. The key message of this year’s event is community cooperation, acceptance, and social responsibility; for this reason, the festival places greater emphasis than ever before on people with disabilities, as well as the organizations that support them, and to raise awareness of their role in society.
The organizers' goal is for visitors to discover, through their experiences,the values that build a more inclusive and compassionate society.
The free-admission event runs for five days and features top-notch concerts, family activities, a wine and food fair, a craft fair, an amusement park, sports programs, health screening buses, an arm-wrestling competition, teqball demonstrations, a running race, and car and motorcycle meetups await visitors.
For years, the festival has made a conscious effort to provide opportunities for civil society, charitable, and sports organizations to showcase their work to as wide an audience as possible.
