There are interesting legends and stories that have been passed down to us about how our ancestors discovered the healing effects of the baths. There are romantic tales, such as the miraculous recovery of Klára Pethő, the love of Sándor Rezi, as well as true stories, such as the treatment of Nelly the elephant in Hévíz. Much has changed; the Tuberculosis Sanatorium, the Spa Salon, and the Zander Institute—and the Hévíz Traditional Cure has become a trademark recognized all over the world.
