Start
We set off on our hike from Zánka, heading up to Tagyon, which we pass through quickly, and from there we head toward Szentantalfa. Here we stop for a moment while the other half of the group joins us, then we continue along the bike path around the lake.
Balatoncsicsó Panorama Trail
In Balatoncsicsó, we turn onto the panoramic bike path, and our route takes us through the countryside past charming wine cellars, visiting Hamuházi Spring along the way.
Vigántpetend, Guard Tower Lookout
We continue cycling through a beautiful forest, passing by Csicsó Forest House, then, emerging from the forest, we catch a glimpse of the Vigántpetend church, race up the slope, and, winding along the serpentine road, reach the Roman watchtower.
Budavár Park, Halom Hill
Another forest adventure awaits, then at Budavár Park we turn onto the road to Mencshely to reach Halom Hill, where we can admire the view of Lake Balaton, the monadnocks, and the southern range of the Bakony Hills from Kossuth Lookout. After a pleasant descent, we arrive at Balázs Hill.
Ruins of St. Blaise's Church
We climb Szent Balázs Hill, where we rest at the 13th-century ruins of St Blaise's Church.
After a descent through the forest, we arrive at the Children’s Village in Zánka. In Zánka, we say goodbye to those leaving from there, while the rest of us comfortably cycle back to Dobosi Winery.
The tour departs with a minimum of 4 participants!
