Start
We set off on our tour from BB365 center in Balatonfüred and continue along the bike path toward our first stop.
Ferenc Winery, Örvényes
We cycle up to Akasztódomb, where our tour guide will explain why this spot, offering such a unique view, was given this ominous name. At Ferenc Pince, we turn off the main road onto Cserhegyi Street, at the end of which the forest awaits. We cycle past Inner Lake and cross the peninsula. Above Sajkod, we return to the asphalt to ride just a few meters from Lake Balaton, still in the forest. We cross over to the renovated bike path, which we follow all the way to Balatonudvari, passing the Örvényes watermill along the way and quenching our thirst in Örvényes with water from Pán Spring.
Balatonudvari, Vászoly
In Balatonudvari, near the cemetery, we take a look at the heart-shaped gravestones and, after a short wait, turn north toward Vászoly. By now, everyone is surely grateful for the electric assistance, as we climb more than 150 meters to the water stage. The small lake where the stage is located is fed by St. James' Spring. Here, true to the name of the hike, we refresh ourselves again.
Hideg-hegy, Zádorvár
From Vászoly through the forest, we reach the peak of our hike, Hideg-hegy, via another ascent, from where a breathtaking panorama of Lake Balaton unfolds. The ruins of Zádorvár Castle offer a view that is no less beautiful.
Zádorkút, Pécsely
Our next refreshment stop is Zádorkút, below the castle, from where we roll on to Pécsely and return to the asphalt.
Aszófő, Almás Spring
We continue our ride to Aszófő, where, near the Árpád-era ruins of the Kövesd church, we find our last refreshment stop, Almás Spring.
Arrival
The “Füred group” skips Tihany and sets off on the remainder of their journey, rewarded with an extra refreshment stop: from the mineral water spring located across from the campground, Berzsenyi Spring.
The tour departs if at least 4 people sign up.
