11th Traditional Village Pig Slaughter in Bakonybél

The hugely successful traditional pigslaughter festival is being held for the 11th time in Bakonybél, where visitors can watch the entire process of pig slaughtering and sample a variety of delicious dishes (bread with lard and red onion, fried liver and pork, roast meat, Székely cabbage, various sausage types, stuffed cabbage, wild game stew, pork chips, orjaleves (spine soup), pogácsa, pastries, mulled wine, tea, chimney cake, mulled wine and homemade pálinka (fruit brandy) competitions with valuable prizes. A local farmers' market and an entertaining music program will also accompany the event in the open area in front of Village Hall. Kids can enjoy craft activities in the warming room. There will be something for everyone to enjoy.
