House of Arts Veszprém welcomes visitors with its exhibition spaces featuring contemporary and historical exhibits, while the castle district offers a truly unique atmosphere. In addition, House of Arts has a total of seven exhibition spaces, and in addition to the permanent collections, it also serves as a venue for temporary exhibitions, conferences, festivals, and literary events.
Dubniczay Palace, will host special programs and exhibition openings on September 5–6 under the title 200 Years of Photography, while at the Modern Art Gallery - Vass László Collection, you can view Bertalan Varga’s INTERLUDIUM solo exhibition, which is based on a systematic presentation of two groups of works created over the past three years.
The history of Veszprém and the region in one building: don’t miss Laczkó Dezső Museum
One of the region’s best-known cultural institutions is Laczkó Dezső Museum, which showcases the history of Veszprém, the Bakony Hills, and Lake Balaton, natural treasures, and ethnographic heritage. It’s worth returning to the museum even if you’ve visited before, since, in addition to the permanent exhibition titled Time Machine, the temporary exhibitions always have something new to offer. The Backyard Goals temporary exhibition runs through December 20, where soccer fans can get a closer look at the authentic atmosphere of village soccer fields.

Time Travel in Veszprém? Visit the Dungeon Visitor Center
If you’re looking for a truly unique historical site, be sure to visit the Dungeon Visitor Center as well! The exhibition, housed in the former prison of Veszprém Castle, explores the themes of crime and punishment, while the period-accurate cells and spaces create a truly unique atmosphere.
