Light painting, time travel, and digital magic – that was the Night of Museums in Veszprém
As part of the Night of Museums event series,On June 21, institutions in Veszprém opened their doors to invite young and old alike on an unforgettable cultural adventure. On this evening, a total of 26 exhibitions and 68 programs were available at 17 locations, including guided tours, museum education programs, discussions, lectures, and workshops.

The Kabócabábszínház (Kabócabáb Puppet Theater) is already preparing for the Museum Night with a colorful program on the eve of the event.(Night of Museums) with a colorful program. Among the family workshops, the bull painting workshop attracted the most little hands, while the shoe cleaning demonstration and the Vass Shoe Repair Shop had new and exciting information in store even for those who had already admired the beautiful pieces here before. The evening was rounded off by DJ-mixed tunes and a light show, where lights and rhythms danced around the courtyard of the Dubniczay Palace.

At the Visitor Center in Várbút, a completely different story was in the spotlight: the film Poisoners and a discussion presented a darker but all the more exciting side of prison life. The exhibition tour of Man Behind Bars provided new information and shaped our image of the prisonersand the related historical tour added even more color to what we saw at the exhibition.
On this night,Bunker Museums were also open to the public, where visitors could experience firsthand what it must have been like to seek refuge in a shelter. The civil defense shelter under Benedek Hill showed the city's wartime past in its original state, while the filtration systems, pancake makers and generators were in full operation.
A few minutes' walk from the hustle and bustle of the city center, visitors could reach the Eötvös Károly Library,where QR code explorers invited curious visitors to discover the library.
