Under the Sky, Above the Earth / Exhibition Opening

Ink and paper. Cosmos and culture, outer space and civilization. The art of Enikő Czigány subtly merges painterly techniques with a graphic vision, inviting viewers on a journey through celestial and terrestrial views drawn from a suspended perspective.
Her ink compositions, partly based on satellite imagery, scan the transformations of the Earth’s surface by human activity, as well as the natural rhythms of the Moon visible to the naked eye from our planet. The artist’s visual language of geometric patterns, fluid color fields, and textures shimmering in deep black reflects a timeless fascination with celestial bodies, the profoundly human impulses behind geographic and astronomical mapping, and the context of the landscape tradition. This exhibition, composed across two levels of Magtár Gallery, marks Enikő Czigány’s debut at the House of Arts in Veszprém.
