What is the true value of scholarly work if knowledge is provided by ghostwriters and the glory goes to someone else?
Overview
🖥 A billion-dollar industry spanning continents is booming in the background: online essay ghostwriting. The distance between Nairobi and Oxford is closer than we think – tens of thousands of highly educated young Kenyans submit assignments, theses, and even doctoral dissertations, while the credit always goes to someone else.
👩🏫 The film centers on Patricia Kingori, the youngest black professor at Oxford University, who returns to her homeland and exposes the exploitative sector. If the world's elite can buy their degrees, while Kenyan academics are "invisibly" keeping the system alive, what is the real value of education?
