Get in the mood for New Year's Eve with Hot Jazz Band! The band is an authentic interpreter of the melodies of the '20s, '30s and '40s, an authentic performer of the hits of pre-war Hungarian films and the great American popular entertainment music of the jazz era.

The backbone of their concerts in Hungary is made up of Hungarian compositions from the same period. This music evokes stars like Katalin Karády, Pál Jávor, Gyula Kabos, Kálmán Latabár, Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Bing Crosby and composers like Rezső Seress, Alfréd Márkus, Szabolcs Fényes, George Gershwin and Duke Ellington.

Hungary's most celebrated jazz orchestra is the winner of four international and two Hungarian competitions, the most outstanding of which was the 1995 New Orleans International Jazz Competition in France, with 54 bands. Hot Jazz Band has been invited six times to the world's largest traditional jazz festival in Sacramento (CA, USA). Hot Jazz Band has twice received the eMeRTon Award, the Líra Award, the Louis Armstrong Memorial Award, the Silver Tree of Life Award, the Fonogram Award and in 2015 became the first Hungarian dixieland and jazz band to be honoured with the highest national accolade, the Kossuth Award. Since its foundation, it has released fourteen CDs and toured the USA and the Far East, including Shanghai, in addition to 22 European countries.

They have performed together with great, world-renowned musicians like CynthiaSayer, Mike Vax, Tom Kirkpatrick, Peter Ecklund, Joe Muranyi (Louis Armstrong's AllStars), Leroy Jones, WyntonMarsalis, George Probert, Bill Allred, Tom Saunders, Allan Vaché, Johnny Varro, Howard Alden, Jake Hanna, Randy Reinhardt, John Sharidan, Lee Floyd (USA); AckerBilk, Kenny Ball (UK); Marcel Zanini, Irakli, Alain Bouchet, Daniel Huck, Marc Laferriére, Marc Fosset (StéphaneGrappelliTrio) Daniel Barda (F); Tom Stuip (NL); Theis Jensen (DK); Oscar Klein (CH); StjepkoGut (YU) AnttiSarpila (SF) Ken Aoki (JPN), and Andrea Rost (HU).
