Christmas vibraphone concert / Papírkutya
On Tuesday evening, the hum of the vibraphone conjures up the Christmas mood in Papírkutya - with the Richárd Szaniszló-Péter Oláh duo.
The duo is the only vibraphone-led formation in Hungary, whose main act is the instrument that conveys the intimacy of Christmas. All listeners are enchanted by its golden-coloured soundboards and its harp-like, booming sound.
Richárd Szaniszló occasionally collaborates with Makoto Ozone, the world-famous Japanese jazz pianist. Earlier this summer he played alongside Al Di Meola, another world-famous jazz guitarist.
Péter Oláh is one of the most sought-after double bassists in the Hungarian jazz scene and a regular member of Dezső Oláh's formations. Szaniszló and him played together for the first time in Csaba Deseő's band in 2009.
