The 1956 revolution is not only one of the brightest and most painful moments in 20th-century Hungarian history, but also a symbol of universal human freedom. The courage that was born on the streets of Pest at that time transcended the crackle of weapons and the shadow of tanks: it was a stand for human dignity, the beating heart of the nation.

The exhibition "Angel, Bring News of the Miracle" exhibition commemorates this spiritual and historical heritage. The special items in Norbert Máday's art collection and Zalán Kertai's paintings from 1956 help to recall a time when hope and faith prevailed over fear.

The collector himself, Norbert Máday, and local government representative Dániel Barna will speak at the festive opening. The program will feature students from the Életfa Elementary and Basic Art School: an 11-year-old pianist enriches the commemoration with the work of Béla Bartók, while another young performer brings home the painful yet uplifting reality of the revolution with Sándor Márai's poem 'Angel from Heaven', bringing the painful yet uplifting message of the revolution to life.

This evening is not merely a commemoration: it is an encounter with the belief that the struggle for freedom was not in vain. We invite you to remember and feel together: in the course of history, miracles can always happen again.

The exhibition can be viewed between October 23, 2025, and November 22, 2025, during the opening hours of the Balaton Theater ticket office, as well as during public events.
